Welcome to downtown Biddeford... Perhaps you have seen our newest (and most vibrant) project downtown. It's the design committee's Alfred Street Lighting Project designed by Alice Brooks. This is our first attempt to help increase lighting in downtown Biddeford, let people know there are things happening in here, and to create a dialogue about downtown lighting and design. Thanks to a generous donation from Bangor Savings Bank and help from NR Brothers Electric we put these lights up in the end of November. They will hang until early March. Are you interested in getting involved? Like our projects (or don't)? If you are interested in getting involved with the design committee please join us on January 13, 2009 at 6p @ the HoB office for Design Night: Take Back Your Downtown! We are inviting community members to join us in brainstorming new projects, talking about what we have been doing and helping people to understand what the design committee does. Get involved in 2009 and make downtown a better, and more vibrant, place to be!
